Puppy Problems - Eamon's Adventures Part 2

One of my most read posts last month was Puppy Problems -Eamon's Adventures (read it here) so I said I would do a Part 2. Keep you all up to speed on the little monster's progress.

He has grown massively and is now in the toddler phase. He can reach the counter tops in the kitchen and has figured out how to open the bins so I now spend my day saying "No", "down" and "stop that". We have a 'time out' area where he goes and sulks until we make friends again. I'm sure all parents of toddlers can relate!

On the flip side he has provided us with so much entertainment over the last month. I've detailed some of his adventures here:

He had the time of his life over 2 weekends watching the 6 nations. We had friends around and were also invited to a big party for the final with other dogs. He wore his Irish Jersey with pride and distracted everyone from the game with his cuteness and manic antics.

Distracting Alex with his cute stare

He just can't bear to look, score the try Ireland!

Willing Ireland to win

Playing 'sit and stay' during half time...I think Eamon is the only one who understands the stay bit! The other dogs...not so much!

When I wear a hoody he makes it his life's purpose to get the string. He does nothing with it, just has to have it!

My neigbhour Kate took him to play in her garden one day, she had guests staying at the time. Eamon did his usual and bolted around her garden and then spotted she had left her patio door open. In he ran, did the loop of the living room then shot straight upstairs (apparently the rules of our house don't apply to other houses!)into her guest bedroom and hopped into bed with her guest! They cuddled.

His digging skills continue to improve. When I shout "No" he gives me this look and pretends nothing has happened! His paws and snout tell otherwise.

He has discovered how to swim and always looks like a drowned rat afterwards!

He sulks if you give out to him.

I have to put him outside when I mop the floor as he loves to chase the mop. So not only is he outside he feels he's missing out on the mop game. He sits outside and gives me this look for the entire time. Oh the guilt! I've never mopped so fast.

He loves to help me write this blog.

He has no regard for other's personal space and thinks my dad's shoulder is an acceptable place to sit.

He is obsessed with the desk we keep our computer on. I thought he wanted to chew the wires and so always call him away from it. Until the other day I was cleaning and realised he had built up a little stash of treats behind there and would pop back when he wanted one!

When Dan has to go away for work, it's like he knows and gives him the major guilts about leaving him.

He loves to lie in the sun with Dan.

In the morning Eamon potters around the front garden and then comes in for his food. The other morning he heard a noise, bolted down the road and straight into the house of our neighbours Dr. Ahmed. I had to chase after him, follow him in to their house to find Dr. Ahmed in his PJs and his son jumping up and down saying 'Ahhhh there is a dog in our house, a dog in our house'. I proceeded to go bright red and chase him around the room until I eventually caught him and had to carry him home! #Morto

No matter how big a bed we buy him, he always sleeps like this!

He's fond of an old pint
