Puppy Problems - Eamon's Adventures Part 3

So you might have seen my earlier Puppy Problems posts (Part 1 Here and Part 2 Here) detailing the adventures of Eamon our puppy and our adventures coming to terms with the whirlwind of excitement that he creates. It's been a while since I've updated you all and so I thought it time to document his progress.

His favourite viewing spot hasn't changed, just the weather and his size. Sorry to the neighbours who he stares at while they eat their dinner!

He sure doesn't look like a puppy anymore but his size aside he still acts like one! To put it bluntly a good friend Mrs Lee recently said to him on entering a room 'Oh Eamon, Hi, I didn't know you were in here'. She immediately turned to me and said 'I don't think that's ever happened before that I didn't realise he was in a room'

And how right she is. Eamon makes himself known wherever he goes with his over enthusiastic and inquisitive nature. It's a trait of his breed and we wouldn't change him for the world.

He continues to find weird and wonderful ways to sleep, resisting for quite some time at giving up his baby bed!

Sharing with his friend Harry

How is this even comfortable?!

But he soon discovered the comforts of our bed. Although we resisted for a few months we eventually gave in and he now comes in for a cuddle in the morning!

I often wake up to a weird and not so pleasant view! I'm glad you're comfortable Eamon!

But of course sleeping on my head is his favorite spot. Who am I to tell him no?!

He continues to think he's a human and sit like one, be involved in conversations and generally think he's the king of the house!

Singing a few tunes with Dan

Always selecting the person at dinner most likely to drop food

Discussing world politics over a whiskey after dinner

He continues to not be aware of people's personal space and has to be touching you at all times!

Sneaking into selfies I send my sister when deciding what to wear!

Not looking at the camera but he will place his paw on my foot just so I know he's there!

Why wouldn't you sit up on someone's shoulders?

Even when he's having a sleep over in the neighbour's house he makes himself at home.

He continues to be as active as ever, enjoying paddle boarding, long walks in the woods, chasing birds in the garden, hanging his head out the car, going on trains, hiking and generally going on adventures!

He has made loads of Dog friends but mostly likes hanging out with Harry and Rourke!

He was even invited to a Ginger Dog party!

It's not always easy to get them to stay still for a photo though!

He's not always well behaved. Often 'helps' me do the washing, tidy up my shoes and pack for holidays!

Note to self, close the bedroom door when going out!

All in all his training is coming along (with the help of a trainer!) and he has calmed down a lot. He enjoys a good selfie and playing with his toys!

Feeling sorry for himself when he had an upset stomach

All said and done he's an amazing dog, full of life, love and enthusiasm. He is the epitome of all things healthy in life. Eat well, sleep long and always be positive! We could all learn a lot from him. He has landed into our world with a crash and a bang but 9 months on we have all settled into a happy and fun filled life together! He get's more and more like his Mummy every day!
