Tuesday's Change Week 25 - Revision Time

Like in previous weeks I've given you all a week off to catch up, refresh and re-focus on the previous changes. So this week you'll be doing just that.

Here is a re-cap of the changes made over the last few weeks.

Was there something you feel you should give another go? Or try harder with? Is there one you just didn't really understand and need to ask me a few questions? I'm here to answer or help whenever you need me.

Best of luck and enjoy revision week!

Tuesday's Change week 16 - Gratitude Journal

This week's change is actually quite a fun one and is so easy to do. Check out my previous post here on Gratitude Journals.

It only takes 5 minutes each night before you go to bed and it is such a great opportunity to sit and reflex on your day, realise what is important to you and how lucky you are.

You can use any notebook or piece of paper or even use your phone. Somewhere where you can look back on them over time if you want.

I typically take out my journal just as I get into bed, write the date and the numbers 1-5 and then write 5 things that I am grateful for that day. They can be anything from people in your life, clothes you bought, a movie you watched or like me last weekend when I was hungover I said I was grateful I had a jar of nutella in the house and a very large spoon!

So starting tonight just jot down at least 5 things you are grateful for that day and try and do it every night for the rest of the week. If you enjoy it and find it beneficial try and carry it on!

I got my journal here on Etsy and would highly recommend them they are so pretty and made with such love!

Enjoy Jeanies!

A New Year and a New You. Gratitude Journals

I have a suggestion! It's easy, fun and could change the way you think, leading to 2015 being potentially your best year to date!

My friend Gertie does this wonderful practice. Every night she writes in her Gratitude Journal. What's that you ask? I'll let her explain further!

Gertie: "When I was 21 and living in Vancouver someone gave me a gratitude journal as a present. The idea is that every night you write five things that you are grateful for that day. It can range from big things to little things. Some night's in mine I write that I'm grateful to get home, to have a cup of tea, to have the best PJ's and that I'm grateful for my bed. Other days I have written that I'm grateful for big thing's like the day my nephew was born, getting to see my family that live abroad etc.

I find that it always makes me aware of what I have and puts me in a  good mood when I write in it. When I came back to Kinsale after living in Vancouver I started making them and there is nothing I love more than sitting down decorating them.

In every book I have a verse on the first page.

"Every night before you go to bed write down five things that you can be grateful about that day. These things can be ordinary and small in importance or relatively large in importance. As you focus on your abundance rather than on the lack in your life you will be designing a wonderful blue print for the future, it will transform your dreams into reality."

Each book is made with love and care, they can be custom designed including selecting your colours or even putting someone's name on it. You can see her rage on her Etsy shop and they would make the most amazing Christmas Gift to your loved ones, or even better, a gift for yourself.

What a great way to start your new year by starting a new habit, one that is healthy for your mind, body and soul. Make 2015 a year of positivity. A year to be joyous and count your blessings. A year to check in with yourself every evening and reflect on your day. A year to express your Gratitude. A year to make yourself happy.

Gertie's shop can be found on Etsy here. Support local and share some gratitude this Christmas. Change someone's life. Change your life.
